Jack Curtis Dubowsky

Composer

Conservatory trained composer Jack Curtis Dubowsky has worked as a composer, arranger, conductor, music editor, sound effects editor, producer, and engineer on many projects in film and music.

His most recent scores include the feature films Under One Roof (2002), which won Special Recognition of a Score Award at the Fire Island Film and Video Festival, and Born in a Barn (2003). Jack also composed the score for the television documentary The AMC Project: Lookalikes (2004) for the American Movie Classics cable channel.

Jack arranged and orchestrated music for the Rob Epstein/Jeffrey Freidman documentary Paragraph 175 (2000) and for the feature film Never Met Picasso (1996). He served as Assistant Music Editor for Pixar Studios on the films Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo. Jack also produced the musical soundtrack for Bruce LaBruce and Rick Castro's film Hustler White (1996).

An accomplished composer of concert music, Jack has had his works performed by many groups and soloists, including the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco. He is the conductor of the Alameda Civic Light Opera in Alameda, California, and is a member of the trio Larry, Hall, and Jack.
