Jack Wrangler became a star of gay male porn in the 1970s, starring in films such as A Night At the Adonis, Gemini, and Kansas City Trucking Company. His on-screen persona of the masculine guy next door struck a chord with gay men and he quickly became one of the early mega-stars of gay adult films. He started his career as a child actor and then moved on to work as a stage actor and model before beginning to appear in adult films. In the 1980s, Wrangler retired from porn and devoted himself to producing cabaret and musical theater. Wrangler met 1940s singing star Margaret Whiting in 1976 and they married in 1979. Wrangler's autobiography, The Jack Wrangler Story was published in 1984. He and Margaret Whiting still live in New York where they are active in the theater, cabaret, and with various charities.
